Back Yard Blues

THE AMERICAN SANDWICH
Write a piece of flash fiction in just three American Sentences.
Allen Ginsberg's American Sentence has seventeen syllables.
Your task is to use as few words as possible to fill the sandwich.

Here's mine:
THE SLOTTED FURNITURE MAN
With his imagination he creates beautiful things in his yard.
Slotted furniture, made with slats taken from discarded old pallets.
Meticulously sawn, sanded, sealed and painted to perfection.

Tuesday

TUESDAY
Don't you just love Tuesday? For some reason Tuesday has become the busiest day of my week and today was no exception. I had loads of paperwork to sort out for the tax man (perish the thought) and one of Nicola's helpers phoned in sick. So, 'me who is the master of being in two places at once' set about about the task of doing both jobs. Then of course there was Jack... Yes, it's the school holidays and Jack (big boy, as he is) needs my attention too. So there I am, happy Tuesday!!! trying to be in four places at once. Yes four, because all my bloggage needs updating on a Tuesday too! Oh well, all's well that ends well!!! WHO SAID THAt?

Balderdashery

FORMULA
I was thinking about forms and formulas just now and how some people seem to have a formula for everything. Take cooking for instance, they have a recipe book and they stick to the recipe and bingo, no balderdashery they get a perfect plated meal. But surely life in general isn't that simple, is it? I mean you can't have a formula for everything, can you?
CAMPING
I was looking at side awnings again for our van, I'm itching to get away camping, but I don't want to take the big trailer tent, I just want a side awning to give us a bit of extra space. But try as I might I just can't seem to find anything suitable in this neck of the woods. I found one on the Internet last year and then couldn't get it 'cos they were out of stock for weeks. I'll have to take another 'butcher's' as the camping season is approaching fast!!!
