Sunday Scribblings #258

The prompt this week at Sunday Scribblings is BIG.

BIG DISCO
Twirly Whirly Shirley
my Champagne Rose
I don’t need no
shampoo to talk to you
A mediocre wine
will surely do
A beer or three to
put me in the mood
My Champagne Rose,
for making love with you
Your dancing feet,
sticky sickly sweet heat
 The big disco beat
warms my heart for you
Remember the dance
that we used to do
Late at night at Pips
in The Roxy Room
With your ball gown
and your stiletto shoes
Everybody knows
you’re my Champagne Rose.!
Why don’t you hit me
with flowers again?

  1. Wow...what a fast paced read that was. So cleverly put together with a rhythm of its own...

  2. This was curiously up beat and frenetic. Twirly Whirly Shirley sounds game. I really enjoyed it.
