The words this week are:
Fracture, Noise, and Vanish.
Here's mine:
WISHFUL THINKING
Oh, if only you could make a fracture vanish, by making a noise. Why, you'd just break a leg, pour out the coco pops, and say, 'that's that then'. In real life, you get the fracture, make the noise and it doesn't vanish.

Oh, if only coco puffs could cure all ills... I enjoyed this use of the prompt. What a lot of fun to read... and twice, no less!
ReplyDeleteNice imagery here. I especially like the first one...
ReplyDeleteExcellent thought! I, too, wish that healing could occur as rapidly as fracture!
ReplyDeleteNow I really do believe that breakfast is the most important meal of the day.
ReplyDeleteVery true, but vanishing is for magic trips and sometimes what you really need is in the healing process.
ReplyDeleteIf ONLY!
ReplyDeletegreat read

ReplyDeleteIt took me a minute to get the snap, crackle+pop...it is late. I love the American Sandwich...paints a picture I think.

ReplyDeleteSpeaking from the experience of many broken bones, I can only say, "Ha! I wish!"
ReplyDeleteAnd this second one is called an American sandwich? I'm curious... I like the style of it. Where can I learn more?
All this talk of cocoa pops and sandwiches is making me hungry! Tasty images in this one, mate!

Love the NaiSaiKu version. The abrupt reality of the break is well-captured.
