the words this week are:
Ideal, Measure, and Teeter.Here's mine:
AN IDEAL HUSBAND
She wanted her ideal husband to measure up, not teeter about. But, even John Wayne would teeter on the brink of her ideal measure. He surprised her, by shooting from the hip, like his Western counterpart.

An anagram of
Esteemed evil at rear
With rehashed words is
IDEAL MEASURE TEETER
Which can be read as
A re-teet leader I muse
O anagram fan
Cleverly done. I like anagrams, too.
ReplyDeleteThanks Tony, I really enjoyed your 'silly poem' on your blog today too.

Thanks Thom, I'll have to stop the anagram stuff, but I couldn't resist it this week...
ReplyDeleteSo cleverly done! I enjoyed this. :~)
ReplyDeleteAlthough I liked the anagram piece a lot, there was a great little scene in the Ideal Husband. I think that was brilliant!!!
ReplyDeleteThanks Sweetest!
ReplyDeleteThanks Paul, you're too kind...
Teeter had me thinking of JW as well - have to think of something else now.
ReplyDeleteCleverly worked first & last line on NaiSaiKu.
Thanks Stan, I'm sure you'll come up with something, it's probably best not to look at other peoples posts before you create something on a prompt.
ReplyDeleteDid you see the 10 goal thrilla at Villa tonight? It was their second leg and Villa won 7-4 on aggregate, them being one nil up from the first leg at Blackburn. so we've got the Brummies in the final after we smash the rags at Stretford.
Fun lovin' anagrams! This is a nifty post! Ideal Husband is a good sized chuckle.
ReplyDeleteI like your anagrams!
ReplyDeleteIt takes a twisted mind to bend words this way, lol. Love it! An Ideal Husband is fantastic... Really enjoy your writing.

ReplyDeleteWell it took a little time, but I got there...
ReplyDeleteCaught the Villa highlights and Spurs couldn't overtake us...I hope RM realises we need at least one at OT.
Hi stan, They probably need half a bottle each, if you're talking Remy Martin, But yeah we need to go on scoring, to maintain that advantage.
ReplyDeleteThanks Sue @ Tumblewords, I love it when you say nifty!
ReplyDeleteHi Jeeves, I can't think of an anagram of Jeeves
at the minute
Many many thanks shadowplay!!
ReplyDeleteHi Larry, I like that thing on your blog that says: will it kill you to comment.
Hi Americanising Desi, like I said last week, the anagram thing was all I could think of, I'm itching to write a real poem, hold on I can feel a sonnet coming....
